Feeding the Homeless

The Keenan’s Kids Foundation staff gets together for about an hour each week to make over 100 sandwiches for the homeless.  The food is then delivered to The Open Door Community and other local halfway houses.  The food our Foundation provides helps to ensure local food kitchens have enough supplies to meet the demands of the Greater-Atlanta community.  Since the Foundation started, more than 355,000 turkey and cheese sandwiches have been distributed.

Clothing Drive

According to the Atlanta Homeless Task Force, there are more than 20,000 homeless kids on the streets of Atlanta this winter.  Since 1997, The Keenan’s Kids Foundation has gathered over 550,000 pieces of clothing, including coats, jackets, leggings and gloves.  Through the aid of a local ministry, the clothes are given to children at risk, especially those without homes. Donations come from hundreds of Atlanta metro area residents, legal professionals and members of the business community.  The clothing drive is an ongoing project for the foundation.  If you have clothes to donate, kindly call 404.223.5437 or simply contact us and we will come pick them up.

Children’s Events

This year the Keenan’s Kids Foundation was privileged to help provide numerous event tickets for at-risk children in the metro Atlanta area. Each year the Foundation works with Phillips Arena to provide tickets for children who otherwise would not have exposure to this type of live entertainment. A total of 141 tickets or suites were distributed to children for eight different live shows, including Disney on Ice and the Harlem Globe Trotters.
