COMMUNITY REVIEW | Leading child advocate spearheads winter clothing drive According to Atlanta's Homeless Task Force, there will be over 20,000 homeless children on the streets of Atlanta this winter with no warm clothing or shelter. Atlanta plaintiff attorney Don Keenan, owner of The Keenan Law Firm, is committed to making the needs of these underprivileged children a top priority throughout the Atlanta community.
"More children currently live in poverty in the metro area than at any other time in our history." said Keenan. "There kids who have no voice deserve our help. I personally challenge other professionals in Atlanta to chip-in and help keep our kids warm this winter. One sweater-shirt can make a world of difference to a child that has nothing but a t-shirt."
Anyone interested in donating items of clothing for Atlanta's homeless children can contact the Foundation at (404)-523-2200 to arrange for a pick-up. The Keenan's Kids Foundation was formed to improve the live of children-at-risk through direct assistance and through continuous training of law students and lawyers to be more aware of children's needs. Don Keenan owns and operates The Keenan Law Firm of Atlanta and is the country's leading advocate for children's rights. His mission for the Foundation is to make sure that the interest of children do not take a back seat to the issues of the day and to encourage members of society to collectively strike to make a difference in the life of a child. |
