Whereas, The City of Atlanta is proud to join the Keenan Kids Foundation as they host their first Children’s Rights Legal Seminar on May 13 -14; and

Whereas, The Keenan Kids Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of Atlanta’s children through community outreach and education; and

Whereas, The Keenan Kids Foundation is teaching law student and young lawyers how to be better children’s advocates through activities such as legal seminars and closing argument competitions; and

Whereas, The Keenan Kids Foundation is organizing an Automobile Air Bar Awareness Program to teach families about air bag safety; and

Whereas, The Keenan Kids Foundation collected more than 10,000 pieces of clothing for homeless and at-risk children in Atlanta this winter; and

Whereas, We Commend the Keenan Kids Foundation for their work with the homeless and their tireless efforts on behalf of the children of Atlanta:

NOW, Therefore, I, Bill Campbell, Mayor of Atlanta, and on behalf of the citizens of Atlanta, hereby proclaim May 13, 1998, as “Keenan Kids Foundation Day” in our City.
